St Mark's to benefit from school renovation projects
BackThe Department for Education recently announced that 239 schools and sixth form buildings will benefit from renovation projects. St Mark's Catholic School in Hounslow has been chosen as one of those projects. When complete the new buildings will be more energy efficient, with old facilities replaced by modern education environments. The first projects from this round are expected to enter delivery between April 2023 and March 2024 and we look forward to sharing more information in due course.
Micon Metcalfe, Chief Finance Officer of Diocese of Westminster Academy Trust, said:
“We’re proud to invest in the education of children within our multi-academy trust. As one of the top performing Catholic trusts in the country, we know that the foundation of excellent learning is outstanding facilities and flexible spaces, talented teaching teams and working collaboratively with communities. St Mark's Catholic School is our trust's first school to benefit from the School Rebuilding Programme and follows successful Priority School Building Programme (PSB2) works at The Douay Martyrs School and The Saint John Henry Newman School. These are prime examples of where improving buildings and facilities will transform education – we're looking forward to working together to deliver this project for families in the area."
