‘Outstanding’ result from Nicholas Breakspear Ofsted inspection
BackWe are delighted to announce that Nicholas Breakspear Catholic High School, St Albans, has achieved ‘Outstanding’ in every category of their latest Ofsted Inspection in November 2023.
The Ofsted inspection described the education provided to students as 'exemplary.'
The report highlighted that "Pupils also show high levels of mutual care and respect for one another," contributing to a "positive school culture... (that) fosters an environment (which) enables pupils to be and feel safe." Every aspect of school life underwent assessment and received an 'outstanding' rating. This encompassed the commendable behaviour of students, recognised as a "major strength of the school," the "consistent," "precise," and "ambitious" curriculum with an emphasis on enrichment, which allows "the pupils to flourish as individuals."
Headteacher of NBS, Declan Linnane said:
“Over the past few years, our school has embarked on an incredible journey of growth and improvement, reflecting our determination and resilience to provide the best possible education for our children.”
“This journey has been a collective effort, and it has reaffirmed our commitment to ensuring that our community has a school of which we are incredibly #nbsproud”
“We look forward to further enriching the lives of our students as we continue our exciting journey of learning, growth and fulfilling our mission.”
Pat Murden, DoWAT CEO said:
"The inspection report for NBS is as celebratory as any I have read or been involved in for over 20 years. It is recognition of the school community's pursuit of Catholic educational excellence over a 10-year period. Huge credit goes to Mr Linnane, governors and the school community for their dedication, service and support. Well done."
