Following their recent Ofsted ungraded (section 8) inspection in July 2024, The Saint John Henry Newman School has been reaffirmed as a good school. The evidence collected suggests that, should a graded (section 5) inspection be conducted at this time, the outcome would likely be outstanding.

Ofsted described the school’s provision for pupils’ personal development as "exceptional," noting the high efficiency of its SEND provision, which "meets the needs of pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) with great precision."

The report commended The Saint John Henry Newman School for its commitment to fostering an inclusive environment where "pupils are confident to be themselves" and "proud to be at this school." This nurturing atmosphere contributes to developing "confident, courteous" students with "exemplary" behaviour, reflecting a "culture of kindness and acceptance."

Furthermore, the report highlighted that pupils "thrive academically" due to "carefully planned lessons" and a "calm and purposeful" classroom environment, resulting in "exceptionally high" achievement in national exams.

Well done!
